Dow Excavating Inc. is owned by Wayne Dow, who took over the family business is 1992 and has been in the general contracting business for over 30 years. We provide professional, efficient, and affordable services to all of our clients.
In 2010 Dow Excavating Inc launched Landscape Materials in addition. This has grown tremendously over the years and provides a local supply to the West Plains area. We continue to add to our selection each and every year!

Dow Excavating offers a wide variety of landscape materials, including but not limited to: Garden soils, barks, gravels, sands, and decorative rocks. Our garden soils are always freshly blended on site. Over the last decade we have built relationships with our suppliers located all over the Pacific Northwest to ensure the highest quality products for our customers. As a local homeowner, these folks are a great resource to have in Cheney. Super friendly and knowledgeable employees, and great prices on a variety of landscaping products. Very accommodating when trying to work in a tight timeframe. I’ve gotten basalt crush and sand to bed pavers and pathways as well as plenty of landscaping rock and garden soil, all has been top notch!

Simply excellent. Professional, knowledgeable, and willing to share their knowledge. Mr. Dow has some very creative ideas and keeps working on them until he gets them done properly. Both he and his employee (I have only dealt with one of his employees)made me feel like they were very honest. So, although I don’t know much about landscaping and driveway construction, I did not worry about being taken advantage of… (I am single and almost a senior citizen so am in a common target group for fraud). I would recommend Dow, and will use his business services in the future .
