Meet the team that makes it all possible!
Introducing our owner: Wayne Dow, the man behind all the operations.
Taking over the family excavation business in 1992, he has grown the company into what you see today; including landscape supplies, deliveries, and an expanded job network. He is extremely dedicated and passionate about what he does, and always has new projects and ideas going on. He works hard to provide great service to the West Plains area.
Wayne has a wife and three daughters, one of whom has been helping out the family business the last couple years. He doesn’t take much free time away from work, but when he does he likes fishing, camping, and some good barbecues!
Kindsay graduated from Eastern in 2019, and is helping out at the family business until she goes back to school this fall. She will be pursuing a Master’s degree in Digital Marketing down in Colorado.
Kindsay does a little bit of everything at Dow, from accounting to sales to running equipment. Being busy runs in the family!
In her free time she likes to paint, watch movies, and hang out with her adorable cat Dexter.
Stop by the yard to say hi today!
Meet Marshall, our go to problem solver.
Marshall joined our crew this spring. He does a little bit of everything here at Dow Excavating including maintenance, sales, deliveries, equipment operations, and job site work. He always has a smile on his face and is willing to help in any way he can!
Marshall loves to hunt, fish, and do all things outdoors. He is currently a student at EWU majoring in outdoor recreation. He also recently completed his courses for his CDL, and is our newest delivery driver.
We’re lucky to have such a hardworking positive guy!
Jerry is a Dow delivery driver and does all things maintenance around the yard and on equipment. Jerry joined in 2019 and has been a key component to Dow Excavating ever since.
Jerry enjoys hunting, fishing and farming in his free time as well as working on his vehicles (he has quite a few, ask him about it)
He looks up to his Dad and Grandpa who have always been there and taught him passion and dedication in the things he loves!
Jerry enjoys driving for Dow and thanks Wayne for giving him the opportunity to get his CDL and trucks to learn to drive in!
Caleb came on at the beginning of last summer to help with general labor around the yard. In the last year, he has become a dedicated employee who is committed to his work and quick to learn.
Caleb enjoys running, playing soccer, and spending time with his family. He grew up in Medical Lake and he loves some apple fritters, especially as repayment for his spider squishing skills.
We love Caleb and all he does for us. It’s been great to watch him grow into his work!
Noah is from Ketchikan, AK, and is down here going to school at EWU. He will be graduating this upcoming year with a dual degree in Finance and Accounting.
In his free time, Noah likes reading, some good Mexican food, and asking thought provoking questions.
He’s always down for an outdoor adventure, and his favorite place to visit is Lake Coeur d’Alane.
Noah is a great asset to our team and Wayne likes to keep him real busy, but he doesn’t mind!
Baylee has been a seasonal employee at Dow Excavating for the last couple of years. She is currently in her Master’s Program at Eastern Washington University pursuing a Social Work degree.
In her free time, Baylee likes fishing, hanging out with friends, and crafting.
You’ll always catch her with a smile on her face. She is great with customers and also knows her way around a few John Deere’s.
Mike is a little camera shy, but he does a lot at Dow!
He is a project manager on all of our excavation sites and can run just about any piece of equipment you give him.
He and Wayne have worked together for over a decade, and he can often be seen driving truck & equipment around the Cheney area.
In his free time, he likes to take care of his farm and spend time with his family.
His experience has been a valuable asset to the Dow crew.
Neila is one of our office gals! She joined us in early 2021 and has picked up all the ins and outs of the job pretty quick.
She is originally from Homer, Alaska and moved down to Cheney for the small-town country environment.
In her free time she likes to care for all of her goats, chickens, ducks, cats, & more! She is a huge dog lover, and does dog boarding and puppy training on the side. Neila loves sushi, Mexican food, and cookies.
Stop by the yard and say hi!
Cindy is a local gal that just joined us in May 2021, on the recommendation of her brother Marshall.
She has a super bubbly personality and is ready to assist everyone that comes through the yard.
She will be attending Great Northern University this upcoming fall majoring in Family & Child Psychology.
Cindy loves farming, fishing, hunting, and the country lifestyle. She also loves to bake, and often shows up to the office with all sorts of treats!
Teran is our youngest team member who came on in November of 2020 to help with snow removal and side walk shoveling.
He is enthusiastic, energetic, and eager to learn.
Though it may not look like it, Teran always has a joke on hand to lighten the mood during a tough work day.
It has been great to have him as a part of our team.
Teran is currently taking some time off work to pursue ministry studies (YWAM) over the summer down in Boise, Idaho.
We hope to have him back soon!
